Rochdale: In the business of success – November

You’d be forgiven for thinking that business success begins to die down in November as excitement for the Christmas break grows, but we’re delighted to tell you that that’s not the case at all in Rochdale!

So, let’s stop what we’re doing, pour ourselves a nice brew and find out what the brilliant businesses of Rochdale have been up to this month. These are some incredibly positive local stories that aren’t to be missed.

Littleborough Firm Makes Biggest Toy Appeal Donation Yet

Pressed Flights Ltd have given a huge helping hand to the annual Christmas Toy Appeal by generously donating 20 kindle fire tablets plus another £1000 worth of gifts for the less fortunate children in the Rochdale area! How unbelievably kind.

The wonderful company decided to donate these gifts to the charity instead of giving a bottle of wine to each of their customers, as they usually do.

The Toy Appeal charity often struggles with getting gifts for teenagers, so thanks to Pressed Flights Ltd, lots of disadvantaged teens will have something brilliant to open on Christmas Day.

Rochdale’s Brand-New Indoor Market Opens

The Rochdale Market Food Hall and Café is now open after a huge £750,000 renovation led by both Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Council.

A bakery, traditional butchers, and a greengrocer are included in the all-new market with a café to top it all off. Cryer’s Butchers from Littleborough, the Laughing Loaf, Patrick’s Bread, Geoff Taylor and Montague’s Café are all amongst the business that have secured a place in the new market place.

All services are now open to the public and ready for the run-up to Christmas. Time to give these wonderful independent retailers some love!
