The Greater Manchester food and drink scene is pretty remarkable, with new vendors and established restaurants constantly popping up throughout our 10 boroughs.
To celebrate the incredible cuisine our region has to offer, the Rochdale Street Eat Festival is returning for another year, and it’s going to be jam-packed with worldly foods from the most celebrated culinary countries in the world, from Spain and Italy to America and further afield!
So, to ensure you know absolutely everything about the upcoming Street Eat Festival, we’ve put together this quick guide. Let’s dive in.
Returning on 25-26th May, Rochdale’s Street Eat Festival will consist of two whole days of local traders offering the best of their menus at just £3.50 per serving, making for an incredible, inclusive day out for everyone!
So far, there’s a mouth-watering list of independent vendors signed up which include:
- The Baum
- The Medicine Tap
- Bombay Brew
- The Flying Horse Hotel
- Issan Friends
- Pudding Paradise
- Vicolo Del Vino
If you’re from the area you’ll probably know a lot of these restaurants already, so we hope you see your favourites!
An important change to this year’s event is its sustainability and environmental focus – Street Eat has pledged to do away with single-use plastic this year, using eco-friendly paper alternatives. This falls into Greater Manchester’s wider plans to be carbon neutral by 2037, so we’re delighted to see local events taking such great initiative.
As part of the two-day festival there’s going to be a whole host of extra activities taking place, including children’s rides, face painting, live Punch & Judy shows and more. Whilst you indulge in some of Rochdale’s finest food, your children will be having the time of their lives – sounds pretty perfect, right?
Located at the centre of Rochdale Town Hall Square, the event will be super easy to travel to, with the nearest tram and bus stop just five minutes away and the train station a short 15-minute walking distance.
On a more personal note, we’re proud to say that this year’s festivities will be sponsored by Rochdale Riverside contractors, Willmott Dixon. We’ve been working with the Willmott Dixon team for close to two years now as they progress our development and work towards completion next year – and they’re doing a remarkable job! More information will be coming through about the event this week, so keep an eye out for updates from Rochdale Council here.
Just one week to go until the eating event of the year (in our humble opinion)! If you’d like some more information on, just drop us a line.
