Shoppers are being invited to put their best foot forward for a warm welcome to our new Deichmann store.
The popular footwear and accessories store opened at Rochdale Riverside today and its staff are gearing up for lots of exciting promotional celebrations this Saturday (August 13th).
Deichmann stocks a wide range of affordable footwear from shoes and trainers to sandals, boots and flip flops from brands such as adidas, Hype, Fila, Skechers, Hush Puppies as well as its own range.
As part of the opening celebrations on Saturday, there will be an exciting, interactive ‘spin the wheel’ game offering shoppers the chance to win prizes alongside lots of special promotions.
Eleven new jobs have been created with the opening of the new store which displays its shoes in pairs and in boxes so customers can easily see available stock and sizes.
Deichmann is a family-owned business based in Germany. It first came to the UK in 2001 and now has 123 stores across the country, with more to come in the next few years.
Rachel Byrne, Centre Manager of Rochdale Riverside, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Deichmann to the Rochdale Riverside family of retailers. They complement our current offering, giving shoppers even more choice.
“With back to school just around the corner, the opening of the new store couldn’t come at a better time.”
Cllr John Blundell, cabinet member for economy and communications at Rochdale Borough Council, and board member at Rochdale Development Agency said: “We are delighted to welcome Deichmann to Rochdale Riverside.
“It is a welcome addition to a great range of shops which include New Look, H&M, Next, River Island and Marks & Spencer.
“The new store has created 11 new jobs which is a really positive investment for the town and the people of Rochdale.”
