As schools break up for the summer holidays you might be taking the time to go through your child’s wardrobe, clearing out any items that no longer fit or didn’t get much wear this term.
Don’t send those items to landfill! M&S has launched a donation box in their Rochdale Riverside store, a place where you can drop off good quality pre-loved uniform over the summer and you’ll get rewarded too!
Bring in your pre-loved school uniform pieces on your next visit and drop them in the donation box that’s located in the children’s department towards the back of the store. In return for donations, look out for Sparks discounts on selected kids’ clothing – scan the QR code on the side of the donation box to claim your Sparks discount.
The clothing donated, which passes the hand-me-down quality test, will be given a second life in an Oxfam shop and made available on a dedicated pre-loved school uniform shop on eBay.
M&S has been sourcing and making products that are too good to waste since its very beginning – and driving the circular economy remains a key pillar of Plan A – M&S’ sustainability programme.
